I. PURPOSE AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

The main goal of the festival is to promote the songs written by Bulgarian composers for children's vocal groups, children's and youth choirs and individual performers from 6 to 19 years of age.
The theme of the festival is wide-ranging – it should reflect the diversity of the children's world and educate children in moral virtues and love for music and singing.

II. CATEGORIES, EVALUATION CRITERIA AND REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS:

1. Individual performers: - must present a Bulgarian pop song and a foreign language song

The age group is determined by the deadline for registration for participation - 15.06.2024.

• First age group - from 6 to 8 years old,
• Second age group – from 9 to 11 years old,
• Third age group – from 12 to 15 years old,
• Fourth age group – from 16 to 19 years of age

2. Vocal groups (up to 12 participants) - Present a 12-minute program of their choice

• First age group – I - IV class
• Second age group - V - VII class
• Third age group – VIII – XII class

3. Choirs (up to 40 participants) - Present up to 20 minutes of a program of their choice

• First age group - children's choirs - children aged 6 - 10 years
• Second age group - children's choirs - children aged 10-16 years
• Third age group - youth choirs - young people aged 16 - 19 years

Provided that there are less than 4 participants in a category, the organizers reserve the right to combine participants from two adjacent categories into one.

4. Performances will be evaluated by a jury according to the following criteria:

For Choirs and Vocal Groups:

• intonation,
• accurate score reading,
• style and ensemble,
• repertoire selection,
• stage behaviour.

For Individual Contractors:

• Voice capabilities
• Accuracy in intonation
• Rhythmicity
• Song selection
• Dynamics, articulation and diction
• Artistry and overall artistic impact

5. The following must be attached to the application for participation:

• For individual performers - photo, biography, link to a page on the Internet where they can be heard and receipt for paid participation fee.
• For vocal groups and choirs – a photo, annotation of the group/people and conductor's CV, a link to a page where their recordings can be heard and a receipt for the paid participation fee.

Requirements for the preparation and shooting of the video:

• The video clip can be filmed in a classroom, in a concert hall or at home.
• The video should be shot horizontally, with a clear view of the performer, without editing and without any additional manipulation.
• No competition, concert or studio recording is allowed. Any type of intervention, editing or editing is prohibited.
• Participation is declared with the request form /online form/ in which links to the amateur videos uploaded to YouTube must be sent, with visibility hidden /UNLISTED/. To be named in the order listed:
"First and last name - Age group - Performance name"

6. Participation fee:

• BGN 30 for individual contractors
• BGN 50 for vocal groups.
• Choirs who are members of BCU and have paid their membership fee for 2024 (no later than March 31, 2024) are free of participation fees. All others 80 BGN

III. RATING AND AWARDS:

The evaluation will be carried out by a professional jury.

Ranking is not subject to appeal!

All participants in the festival receive a diploma, and those ranked first, second and third in each of the age groups - a diploma and a plaque.

All participants ranked in First place and the Grand Prizes earn the right to participate in the Present Eighth edition of the festival in 2026 without paying a tuition fee.

Awards at the Sixth Festival for the performance of the Bulgarian children's song "Let's sing together!" - Online edition, Svilengrad 2024:

• The Grand Prize of the Mayor of Svilengrad for the best overall performance – plaque and diploma.
• Award of Choir School "Svilengrad" for the best performance - plaque and diploma.
• Award of the "Musical Youth" Foundation for a young conductor - plaque and diploma.
• Award of the Bulgarian Choral Union for the choir with the brightest stage presence - plaque and diploma.
