REGULATION

I. PURPOSE AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

The main goal of the Festival is to popularize songs written by Bulgarian composers for children's vocal groups, children's and youth choirs and individual performers from 6 to 19 years of age.

The theme of the festival is broad - it should reflect the diversity of the children's world and educate children in moral virtues and a love of music and singing.

A Competition for the performance of a children's choral song by a Bulgarian composer is also held within the framework of the festival.

II. CATEGORIES, EVALUATION CRITERIA AND REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS:

1. Individual performers: - must present a Bulgarian pop song and a foreign language song

• First age group - from 6 to 8 years old
• Second age group - from 9 to 11 years old
• Third age group - from 12 to 15 years old
• Fourth age group - from 16 to 19 years old

2. Vocal groups (up to 12 participants)

• First category - I - IV grade
• Second category - V - VII grade
• Third category - VIII - XII grade

3. Choirs (up to 40 participants)

• First category - children's choirs - children aged 6 - 10 years old
• Second category - children's choirs - children aged 10 - 16 years old
• Third category - youth choirs - young people aged 17 - 19 years old

Provided that there are less than 4 participants in a category, the organizers reserve the right to combine participants from two neighboring categories into one.

4. The performances will be evaluated by a jury according to the following criteria:

• intonation,
• accurate reading of the score,
• style and ensemble,
• selection of repertoire,
• stage behavior.

For Individual Performers:

• Vocal capabilities
• Accuracy in intonation
• Rhythmicity
• Choice of song
• Dynamics, articulation and diction
• Artistry and overall artistic impact

5. The following must be attached to the application for participation:

• For individual performers – photo, biography, link to a page on the Internet where they can be heard and a receipt for paid participation fee;
• For vocal groups and choirs – photo, annotation of the group/people and autobiography of the conductor, link to a page where their recordings can be heard and a receipt for paid participation fee.

Requirements for preparing and shooting the video:

• The video can be shot in a classroom, in a concert hall or at home.
• The video must be shot horizontally, with a clear view of the performer, without editing and without any additional manipulation.
• No competitive, concert or studio recording is allowed. Any kind of intervention, editing or montage is prohibited.
• Participation is requested using the application form /online form/ in which links to amateur videos uploaded to Youtube, with visibility hidden /UNLISTED/, must be sent. They must be named in the specified sequence:
"Name and surname - Age group - Name of the performance"

6. Participation fee:

• €20 for individual performers
• €40 for vocal groups and choirs

All participants ranked in First Place and the Grand Prizes win the right to participate in the Ninth Edition of the Festival in 2026 without paying a participation fee.

7. The costs of transportation and accommodation /food and accommodation/ are at the expense of the participants. The organizers provide assistance if a request for accommodation and/or meals is made.

8. If possible in the voted budget of the festival, the organizers may cover part or all of the costs of the stay, which they will inform the participants about.

9. Choirs that are members of the Bulgarian Choral Society and have paid their membership fee for 2025 (no later than March 31, 2026), depending on the size of the approved festival budget, could have one (or two) nights provided. If possible, the organizers may offer other discounts for the participants.

10. After receiving all applications, the organizers send an official invitation to participate in the festival with the final conditions.

III. RATING AND AWARDS:

The evaluation will be carried out by a professional jury consisting of: Haigashot Agasyan - composer, Iliyan Paraskov - lecturer at NBU and MA "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" - Sofia, Kiril Tarpov - conductor, chairman of the Board of Directors of the "Jeunesse Musicale" Foundation.

The ranking is not subject to appeal!

All participants in the festival receive a diploma for participation, and the first three places in each category receive a diploma and a plaque.

Awards of the Ninth Children's Song Performance Festival "Let's Sing Together!", Svilengrad 2026:

• The Grand Prize of the Mayor of Svilengrad for the best overall performance - plaque and diploma;

• Award of the Choir School "Svilengrad" for the best performance of a song by a Bulgarian composer - plaque and diploma;

• Award of the "Jeunesse Musicale Foundation" Foundation for the best young conductor - plaque and diploma;

• Award of the Bulgarian Choral Union for the choir with the brightest stage presence - plaque and diploma.

IV.REGISTRATION AND ACCOMMODATION

1. Participants – vocal groups and individual performers, arrive in Svilengrad no later than 14:30 on Friday – 26.06.2023. At 15:00, representatives of the participants will be present at the drawing of lots for participation in the competition. The competition program for vocal groups and individual performers starts at 16:00 on the same day according to the program from the draw.

2. The choirs must be in Svilengrad no later than 3:30 p.m. on June 26, 2026.

3. The organizers have agreed on preferential prices for accommodation at the Svilena Hotel /in the center of Svilengrad and in close proximity to the participation hall/, which can be used provided that the funds for accommodation and/or meals are transferred in advance to the account of the Jeunesse Musicale Foundation - Svilengrad branch, no later than June 20, 2026 (for individual participants and vocal groups).
